When I acquired my Excella in 2011, it had new Westlake ST225/75R15(E) tires on it. Within the first 1-1/2 years I had 2 tread separations. Each was replaced with a different brand - one Towmax, the other GYM. One of these blew out on Hwy 401 while driving to Toronto. A few months later I had my running gear totally updated (new axles, new 16" wheels and Michelin LTX tiires). The Westlake tires, while always properly inflated while cold always ran hot due to the thick sidewalls. My experience with the Westlakes was that real maximum speed should never exceed 55mph.
