New tires needed for 25' Excella 1996

I need to get some new tires as the ones on my trailer are the original I think.

It has Goodyear TS225-75R15 Load range C on it now. Is it advisable to go to a Load range D or should I just stick with what was on the trailer original.

Also is there a need to have the tires on a trailer balanced

Thanks
Steve

You cannot increase the load range, unless you have mag wheels.

All steel whell manufacturers have warned that when a steel wheel has been in service for a long period, such as yours, that if you increased the load rating with new tires, the wheel will likely split around the circumference.

Of course, you can replace the wheels and be safe.

The size tire you have is still good, ST 225/75R15
