New tires?

I have a 1975 31 ft. Airstream and am going to replace my tires. I don't want to replace my 15 inch wheels. I am currently looking at Carlisle tires, size ST225/75R15, load range E. This tire's diameter is about 1.5 inches smaller than the 700R15 tires which are currently on the trailer. My questions are:
1. Should this difference in diameter cause any problems?
2. Does anybody have experience with the Carlisle brand?

I have had Carlisle Radial Trail RH tires on my AS for about the past 4 years. No complaints.

Lots of threads on the new GYE's. I'm extremely happy with them. Also considered the nokians.

25k so far in 18 months. Retain pressure like no others.

P.s. Don't be fooled by the wenie looking tread. The newer less chunky design, it by design runs cooler.

Hi Air4563. Any luck with your tire search? In the same position now and it doesn't seem like your issue was resolved here. Working with the same old tires and looking to replace them with Carlisles.

If your trailer is less than weighs less than 8000# these work great.
The higher your expectations the fewer your options.
