New tires

Regarding my Michelin 225/75/16 E tires...3 years and 30,000 miles...I run over a ramp that fell off a car trailer...there were cuts in the bottom of the tread...went to Costco...they didn’t want to warranty them...I did get help....50 percent..the tires had 10/32 tread remaining...they made out the invoice ..”.No Warranty..”...even though I told them Michelin sells tires to Airstream...I talked to my big truck tire dealer...if I buy from him he could warranty them...so do you run with no warranty or pay extra for it....catch 22..the cost per mile is near the costs of my big truck tires....

A new tire should have a warrantee, it may not be a 'full' warrantee but one that is it based on what was left on the original tire.
If the other shop is giving a full replacement, plus another full that starts at installation, do it. 👍😂

I've run Michelin for years, never had to use the warrantees. 😘

POI...I never buy extended on anything, factory only.

This is the same issue with new vehicles also where it is hard to deal with warranties, let alone road hazard!

I got my Airstream tires (Michelin) from America's Tire which meant they were covered. However, when I got my new Ford F250, the Continental's came with a warranty but no road hazard. America's Tire will add the road hazard, and I think they will then do warranty also, for a minimal fee per tire.

They are called Discount Tire in other states.

I would not pay extra for a warranty on tires.

I purchase tires from Discount Tires they are great on their warranty.

Never buy extended warranty your flushing money [emoji384] down the drain Read the find print in any extended contact. Then laugh.

When I tried to purchase metal valve stems, Dill advised me that Discount Tire sold them. However, the nearest DT is 40 miles away, so I visited some other "brand name" tire stores. Most looked like the workers came out of the coal mine, and the shops were dirty. I get it, tires are dirty.
Eventually, I drove the 40 miles to Discount Tire, and OMG! what a difference. The place was clean, the employees friendly and articulate, wearing nice uniforms.
The first DT I called didn't have them in stock, but he offered to stop by the next DT on his way home, pick them up and mail them to me!
I can't believe a city my size doesn't have a DT.
