Depending on what someone may need, there is usually a choice of direct shipping or drop shipping to minimize costs.

Andy,
I have checked out Inland's web site. As I am renovating the argosy ( http://www.airforums.com/forums/f36/...ect-70589.html ) I do plan to buy from the site. I am a firm believer in patronizing a place that has great customer service.
Thanks again,
Tim

I remember sitting in the dealership in 1977 with my parents watching a video of the dura-torque axle carrying the weight of the trailer on only 3 wheels, negating the need for a spare tire since you could drive on 3 wheels the short distance to the tire shop. As result, my Excella 500 did not have a spare and still doesn't. My parents did lose a tire once and drove on 3 wheels to the tire shop. I can see this being possible with "fresh axles" but would not want to try it on 35 year old axles.

Doug,
Thanks for the input. That sounds logical. However I believe in some states it is a law to have a spare.

Tiger, perhaps you are right about state laws. My parents were never stopped in other states for not having a spare. If you do get one, the carrier mounts in the front just behind the A frame. You would want new axles to maximize your ground clearance. My trailer's axles were so bad I was bottoming out in the rear contantly on uneven road and the spare carrier surely would have hit the pavement.

I bought my spare tire mounted and balanced on a powdercoated black rim from www.trailertiresandwheels.com. Arrived ups wrapped in cardboard like a huge cheese wheel. Very quick delivery time also.
