Leaking tire

Just found a heavy duty staple in my tire. Leaking from one prong. It's a pretty new tire with like new thread. What repair options do I have?

Most will want to use a plug of some description. Were it mine, I'd call three respected tire sales/repair companies, explain your circumstance, and ask how they would repair it, to include describing what the plug looks like. Then decide how to proceed.

Plugging a hole in a tubeless tire without putting a patch inside is asking for trouble down the road. I've seen many plugged tires come back with the same hole leaking. (when I worked in a service station many years ago)

This is how I want mine repaired:

Last time I had one of my tires repair the guy used a patch/plug combination, that looked kind of like a mushroom. The plug went through the hole from the inside and the patch was glued on the inside. It worked great.

Update: I took it to pep boys and was informed they weren't allowed to do a repair, too close to sidewall and two punchers within a certain distance made it risky. They told me I might find a tire place to put a patch inside, but given my ability to worry constantly about things like this, I decided to replace the tire.

Update: new tire picked up, installed yesterday, aired up to match others and tpms sensor installed. Took me longer to put the spare back up. That was one expensive staple.
When I picked up tire/wheel they had balanced and used the hammer on weights on inside and out. I wasn't too easy with that since the others were balanced with the stick on weights inside. They redid it. Not sure it matters but I wanted it to look as clean as the others.

Good idea to just replace the tire, "it is the most important safety feature that you have!" Plus a tire is a lot less expensive than an entire AS!

Yeh, I hated to dismiss a practically new tire but the piece of mind outweighed the $200. We are on the first leg of a week long journey and pressures are all good.
