I just found some available at my central Florida Discount Tire.
$145.

I searched N.C. There are allegedly 7 available at the Jacksonville, NC Discount Tire.
There's Discount Tire also in Greenville, NC and Wilmington.

I'd call and lock some up.

This is a newbie question. Are the weights in the tire chart "per tire"? I also just put on GY Endurance 205/75/14Rs on our 64 Bambi II. Max pressure is listed at 65 psi. My total loaded weight is about 2700 - 2800 lbs with a tongue weight of 450 lbs. Per the chart I should then be running 35 - 40 psi. That seems low to me. Will the tires run hot at that low a pressure? I also don't want excessive bouncing from too high a pressure.

Thanks, Jacksonville is not too far. Neither is Greenville.

The weights are per tire. You have to decide how much safety margin etc you want to factor in to determine your optimal pressure.

Also, those are MINIMUMS!

And don't forget to factor in side to side and front to back weight variations.

And, Yes!! 40 psi is too low. The tires will run hot, but more importantly, likely to separate at that pressure.

Recommended tire pressure

We are running endurance tires at 70 psi cold because they warm up to while traveling 80 psi . We’ve had our tires for four years with no problems .
Safe travels. Hope to see you down the road neighbors.

Tire pressure on GYE

I run mine between 70-75 PSI cold on a 2016 FC 27. So far no abnormal wear or other issues after 10k miles.

Endurance Tires

I run 65psi on FC 25ft FB. No rivets popped. Smooth ride with over 8K miles.

What is concidered the time limit on these tires? I have 3017 date code tires installed about that time with maybe 5K miles on them and wanting to replace my original Excella steel wheels with new Sendel aluminum, do I remount them on new wheels or go all new?
Gut says new but is it necessary?

I upgraded my 2014 23D from 14" wheels and tires to 15" wheels and GYE tires earlier this summer. First half of a 2500 mile round trip I ran at 50 psi cold using the Goodyear inflation chart as a guide. The second half I ran at 55 psi and recently went up to 70 psi. I have had one 200 mile trip at the 70 psi and really see no difference. On the long trip my tv milage increased about a 1/2 mile better on second leg at 55 psi. My inflations increase aprox 4 to 5 psi when tires heat up on the road. Temp rise on the road has been pretty consistent. I think any of those inflations work. If I start seeing popped rivets then I may change my mind about the higher inflation.

Does anyone know if the factory stated pressure is the correct rating for the trailer or is the tire manufacturers recommendation the correct PSI? Thx
My Airstream documentation had an addendum for the tires, and I contacted Goodyear. Both stated that you should weigh your trailer and adjust the tire pressure according to the tire inflation/load tables. At 80 PSI, my tires are good for 2830 pounds each or 11,320 pounds total. That is a bit much for a trailer that weighs 7300 pounds on the scales and has a 7600 pound GVWR. Too much air will cause your trailer to bounce significantly. I run my tires at 60 psi cold and still have quite a bit of wiggle room on the tables. No popped rivets and things tend to stay where they are placed in the trailer. Keep in mind that there may a significant difference in the axle weights on a dual axle trailer.

The weight of my 28’ 2005 classic when loaded for the road let’s me run those Endurance tires at 60# cold i’m actually within the limits at 50#. I set my Tire pressure monitor at 55 on the alarm for low pressure. I’ve been running these tires for 4 years now and I love them. I’ll replace them with another set of Good Year Endurance. Tires

Rolled from KY to Yellowstone in new GYE on my 76 Argosy. No problems with rated 65#PSI. No problems with displaced items inside. So felt good on performance. Local temperatures reached 91 and lows in 30s. And tire temp said relatively cool no difference with truck tire temp. Be safe.

I have brand new GYE on my 2012 FC30RB. We are now 3,000 miles into our trip. I started the tires at 75 psi and I have lost some rivets. I'll air them down to 70psi and try that. My theory is to have the tire pressure as high as possible without doing damage to the trailer. Too much pressure is rough on the trailer, but not enough pressure is a safety hazard.

Experience tells all...we had broken hinges, latches and popped rivets still at 70psi.I run cold at 58-60psi. They run warm between 68-70...second set of GYEs...no more issues 48k on the AS!

Nearest Discount Tire probably has them.

Keep in mind that some rims have PSI limitations. Some of the shorter rig had 65psi max tires and matching rims. Longer had 80psi rims and tires.

When I swapped my tires for range E tired from D on one of my trailers many years ago, if I wanted the benefits of extra carry capacity of E rated, I had to replace the rims because they were only rated to D specs @65psi.

I run typically around 72-75psi and have centramatics on each hub. No popped rivets, nothing in the RV thrown about.

Good for Me

This topic has been talked to death here on the forum. I have a 2019 22’ Sport with 12,000 miles on it. Being a single axle trailer, tires are critical. No luxury of a second tire on the side to support the trailer if a tire blows. I’ve been to the GYE website and have done lots of study on TRAILER TIRES. Tire flex is your enemy. People here look at the chart and say “Oh, looky there, my trailer don’t weigh enough for max PSI” Maybe that’s true, but tire flex is still degrading the sidewalls, loosening the sheets of bias, and unduly heating things up more than a firmly rigid tire. I’ve had no problems with screws coming loose, and not on rivet has popped out!! I did find an unused handful left behind by AS, but none have popped loose. Do what you deem best, but I’m sticking with 80 PSI.
