Input on choosing tires

We currently have a 1962 Ambassador remodeled trailer we're taking out for her first significant journey- 5 weeks on the road through varying temperatures and climates. We currently have Accelera Ultra 3 195/70R15 tires on her, but the age on them suggests we're ready for a replacement.

We had thought originally to just replace with the same, as these came recommended, but the tires has been discontinued. Finding an appropriate replacement has opened a whole host of questions. Wondering if folks have input on how to choose tires or if anyone has a recommendation for a 15 inch. We're leaning toward ST tires, as it seems the design is more appropriate for full time RVing.

Thanks in advance for your help!

We have Goodyear Endurance tires on our 66 Tradewind and are very happy with them. I recommend them highly.

Thanks for the replies! We've been hearing good things about the Goodyear Endurance. We decided to put off a full tire replacement for a few more months, but will likely go with the Endurance when we do.

Unfortunately, they do not come in the 195/70/15, which appears to be a bit of a tricky size to find. I've been told from one source that a 205/75/15 is close enough to not require additional changes prior to install.

Does anyone have experience with this type of size change?

No experience with those sizes. But that is 1/2 inch difference. 1/4 inch on each side. So take a look. If it is time for a replacement I would do it before the trip.
