Ford Trailer TPMS Sensors Did Not Fit?
Hey Folks,
Upgraded to an F250 SD and bought the Ford TPMS sensors to integrate with the towing package on the new TV. Had a mobile tire guy I have used for years install new tires for our 2021 FC and try to install the new Ford TPMS sensors at the same time. However, the nut that screws onto the sensor stem outside the wheel was too large to get a socket on it with the space on the airstream 15" wheel. He even tried the smaller nut from my prior TV Chevy TPMS sensors and while he could tighten it down, still not enough to hold pressure.
Anyone encounter this issue? Smaller nuts maybe at a brick & mortar tire shop?
The expensive Ford TPMS sensors are not returnable so I need to either solve the issue or sell online and try an aftermarket option (of which I know there are many options and not looking for recommendations here, there are other threads for that).
