Angry Dill TPMS Tire pressure monitor valve stems

Hello everyone. I purchased the Dill TPMS for my 67 Safari (single axle) I took tires and wheels with the valve stems to be mounted / balanced. When I returned to pick them up Discount Tire had mounted them without using the Dill valve stems. The units included with the kit are the smaller diameter .4xx and the 15" steelies on my AS have larger .625 valve stem holes. Does anyone know where I can pick up replacement valve stems that are compatible? I want to get this wrapped up this weekend if at all possible. I am sure my neighbors love seeing my AS on jackstands in the driveway.

Any tire shop should have them. They would be a common stocking item.

I have a Dill TPMS on my Safari. I thought the valve stem was a part of the transmitter, and they made both sizes. Can you exchange them where you bought the system?

You would think the stem is the same. However it appears that it isn't. The transmitter/ sensor is separate and attaches to the stem with a screw. Rather than a 1 piece unit like most OEM systems. purchased from Dill authorized distributor Tirerack.com since they had the best price. I guess I may have to wait until Monday and see if I can order replacement units. May be handy to order more than 2 if that's the case.

I have been able to get questions answered by calling Dill directly.

I guess I will have to call tomorrow. I went to try and find correct replacement units locally only to be looked at like an idiot. It does look like Dorman had some promising items but not in stock locally. I can probably expect a nastygram from the city soon if I can't get them pretty quick. Or plan B scrap the idea and sell/return the kit and go with regular rubber stems and no tpms.

I may have missed something here, but if you took the valve stems when you took the tires and wheels to Discount tire, what happened to them? Maybe they should be the one's finding replacements.

Discount tire didn't use them because they were too small. I need to get larger diameter valve stems. I have the ones that came with the kit they just don't fit the 67 wheels. Sorry if I was confusing.

Dill makes the valve stems in both sizes. You are expected to specify the size that you require at the time that you place the order. Most of the time, Tire Rack will ask you which size you need. However, sometimes they forget.

The only option I had was for 2 or 4 sensors...

Do you have a name or an extention number? I'm going to throw in the towel on this system soon. 2 calls, 2 messages, 1 email, and no response. I even stated I wanted to buy the stupid things. I have also checked Napa, etc and purchased about $40 worth of valves that I need to return since they don't work. Great idea but I am not real thrilled with not being able to get parts or service. I am also sure that I can't return it to tire rack since it took forever to get wheels back from powder coating.

I got prompt responses from e-mails and phone calls. I used "custserv@dillaircontrols.com" <custserv@dillaircontrols.com> for e-mail contact.

From Dill website. Main Number: (919) 692‐2300. I don't remember a name, but it was pretty easy to get Tech Support.

Thanks. I doubt they are there today but I will call this rather than the 800 number I have. I did actually speak to one person but she didn't have a clue of what I was talking about. I was transferred to tech support where it rang several times and went to voice mail.

Their web site lists both sizes.

Sounds like maybe TireRack goofed by either not listing the size they sell or by offering both sizes.

Another option is to go with bolt in metal valves with the rubber seal that fits your wheels and then you have many choices for external TPM sensors.
