Correct. and not all applications are the same nor are the loads nor inflation nor maintenance or even the average ambient temperature but for some reason some want to claim that because some folks get years of life they should also get the same.

Size and Load Range ?
Scale load measurements on each axle?

I'm not sure what point you're making, but it seems like your statement would include all tires, not just ST tires.

Sorry for not being clearer.

painting all ST tires with the claim they are all the same just isn't reasonable any more than claiming all Airstreams are the same.

It is important for folks to understand that "Correlation" is not the same as "Causation" when trying to decide why something doesn't work as wanted.

This article may very well shed some light on the similar experiences travel trailer owners have had with the Goodyear Marathon tires, as the Class A crowd has had with the Goodyear G159. With failure rates "unheard of for consumer products", that is "10 to 27 times worse than the Firestone tires deemed defective by NHTSA). It's no wonder ST tires have gotten a bad name.

It looks like Goodyear Marathons tires were designed and built just about the same time as the G159s. From the article, it's obvious that Goodyear culture and policies at the time were hardly focused on building a premium tire. With build standards that barely meet requirements. And their only concern being market share and profit.

It's a great, but if not sad read on cooperate greed. Makes me never want to touch a Goodyear product again - https://jalopnik.com/how-goodyear-hi...his-1822200424

Outrageous corporate conduct!

Everyone driving a motor vehicle or pulling any sort of trailer should read the preceding article attached to pteck's post.

For me, I'll never again purchase any Goodyear tire. Corporate conduct such as is described in the G159 tire article should not be rewarded.
