Cooper Tires?

I'm in process of talking to my local Les Schwab about ordering 16" Sendel wheels and Michelin tires. The tire shop is having some problems getting the tires an wants to talk about a 10 ply Cooper tire with a weight rating over about 2400 pounds.

Anyone using Coopers?

Don't.

Cooper tires are an inferior tire that have about half the life of a Michelin.

And,

ST tires are an inferior tire that have about half the life of a Cooper.

Cooper Tires?

I like Cooper tires. The tread life is not going to be that of a Michelin, but neither is the price.

It becomes a question of whether a person is going to put 70,000 miles on a set of tires before they get old, and as to whether the difference in price is worth it anyway.

I have used Cooper LT tires on my trucks and trailers for decades, and last I knew, they were still made in America.

In part, it depends on how far/much you travel. In our case, we wind up replacing tires because they've simply aged out, though still with a bunch of tread.

I use Cooper tires on 4 out of my 6 vehicles with good results. The other two they didn't work well. On a trailer you are most likely to age them out before you wear them out.
