Changing out your 15 inch Marathon tires?

I'm looking for one used Goodyear Marathon 15 inch ST225/75R15.

We need to use it for the next few months of traveling until we replace all of our tires with Michelins.

I checked classifieds, but didn't see any. Classifieds are hard to search, so I might have missed something. Thanks

Did you try your local tire retailer? Mine always has used tires or "take-offs".

Thanks, Mark. We tried our Airstream dealer and Jackson center, both were out. Tire dealers is a good idea.

I have two GYM's of the size you are looking for. They are in excellent condition and have about two thousand miles on them. I do want to sell both as a pair though.

Airstream dealers out of Marathons? What does that tell you?

I wonder what the size difference is between Marathons and Endurance? Can you just get a more desirable Endurance?

Mollysdad, I don't know the answer to the Endurance question, but the Airstream dealers did not have USED Marathon tires. We need to match the tires on our rig so we can travel a few more thousand miles until we get the axle fixed and replace all five tires.

Outdoors-

If there's something wrong with your axle (like one set of tires is getting eaten due to a bent axle?), who cares if they match? Slap a couple of cheap STs on one side of the coach, move the wheels with Marathons if you have to so they match on a side....,and go camping.

We just up-graded a few days ago. The tires we (let the dealer) throw away had a lot of tread but were original 2005, so other than the date would have been ok.. As a side note, no matter what, if I can't find it, all I have to do is buy a new one and after I use it, I find the original...

The Goodyear Endurance is US made and E rated and has a high speed rating around 80mph. Unlike other ST tires that are 65 mph. I will replace my marathons with them instead of buying 16" rims when I do it.

just put 15" GY Endurance tires on our 2010 19' International to replace the original Marathons. They look good. Inflated to 80 psi vs 65 psi for the Marathons. Load class E instead of D, 10 ply rated instead of 8 ply. made in good old USA!

Endurance vote here so far. So far cross country and back. Time will tell but so far, I am a fan. 225 75 15 E. Ran cool and smooth. 31 Classic

Just so you know, GY Endurance's are available in both D AND E ratings.
Make sure the ones you buy are E rated.

Call Jackson Center again. On Friday afternoon, we replaced all 5 GYMs with 15" GYEs. The GYMs were mfg in July 2014 and had relatively low miles ( based on treadware ). We left them with JC - if they still have them , tell them I said you could have them free. Or anyone else. BTW, love the GYEs so far . . .
