Carlisle tires???

Tire store has recommended a Carlisle Suretrail LT tire for the Ambassador. 700x15, load range D. Anybody have any experience with this make and model of tire?

Carlisle has been around for years. I am not sure of the current owner or company, or the place of production. I bought a new 1961 trailer that had factory Carlisle tires on it. My local dealer sells them and I would venture a set on my trailer without hesitation.

I like them!

I've been using that tire since day one. On a 1966 Overlander(26'), 1970 Safari(23'), 1966 Safari(22') for many years, many miles, no problems! Make sure if you use them, have them install "metal" valve stems, balance, etc... They are the same type of tire that was used on the trailer when new.

FYI - enter Carlisle in a search field and you will return 60 threads. That being said, you will no doubt get a good number of responses. Thursday evenings are good! (summer Saturdays? not so much... everybody's camping or polishing or vulkeming)
