Airstream Club Michelin Advantage (?) Program
I am in the process of upgrading my wheels to 16" with Michelin Agilis Crossclimate tires.
Being in the Airstream Club International (as it is now called, ACI), I went through the process described on the ACI web site to register my credit card with Michelin (had to try a few times since the lines to Michelin customer service are often very busy). But when I set up the appointment with the tire shop, a Michelin dealer, they indicated to me that they were not in the Advantage program and that it was somewhat of a hassle for a dealer to get into that program.
So I asked the shop/dealer what was their best price to compare with the Michelin Advantage price, and then I called Michelin and it turns out the Michelin Advantage price was 1$ more expensive than the price the shop/dealer was giving me!
I don't know if this a one off situation, but if you get the best price your local Michelin dealer/shop can offer you, this may very well be the best price you will get!
Any others with the same experience?
