Air pressure for my Maxxis tires

Fellow Airstreamers! Have a 2007 28' International. I came with Good Year Marathons. When it was time to replace them, I had heard all the horror stories about Chinese made Good Years, so I avoided them. My Discount Tire manager heartily recommended Maxxis tires, so I purchased them. Never had any problems at all. A few weeks ago, I again replaced my tires with a second set of Maxxis. My question is this. The guy at Discount Tire said to run these Maxxis at the maximum PSI, which is 80 PSI. Is this why I am having popped rivets inside my trailer? Should I NOT be running the tires at maximum PSI? Any help of suggestions is much welcomed. Mike

First, what does your vehicle tire placard call for? The placard will list the tire size and inflation pressure. The placard will be towards the front of the trailer - not sure where AS puts them.
