-8mm Offset in a 16 x 7 - Will it work?

One of the recommendations I found in the in the forum was the use of the American Outlaw II and a 16" tire. I think this is a great idea however I have not been able to find this wheel style in a 16x7, 6 bolt x 5.5 with an offset =/< a -6mm. I spoke directly to American Racing, Ion, Sendel, etc... however they all appear to have a -8mm offset. I really like this wheel type however I'm worried I'm pushing the interference too far.

Has anyone put a LT225/75R 16 on a -8mm offset rim and made it fit in a wheel well. I have a 29' 1986 Sovereign.

You will probably be OK with your trailer being it's an 86 and has the standard old style bearings in the hubs, assuming you have no rubbing of the tires on the sheet metal. The offset is normally towards the outside with the truck wheels, and could cause the tires to rub on the aluminum.

No offset is tolerated with the new Nev-r-lube hubs.
