Wheel Bearing Seal Lookup/interchange guide

While searching for replacement double lip wheel bearing seals for our 1955 Sovereign, I found this very handy search tool. Use the part lookup to find the dimensions of your current seal or use the interchange to look up other manufacturers part numbers and specs. I called my local auto parts store with no luck at first, after finding this site and entering the dimensions and finding the part number, I called back and they can order it. By shopping around I am saving @ $10 per seal. Hope someone finds this useful.

1950's bearing seal size

After much looking and shopping to get the price from $21 per seal down to $6, I found for our '55 Sovereign a SKF-18872 seal seems to be the ticket. It is 3 x 1.875 and has a double lip.
