Greasing Airstream International

I was recently advised to grease “shackles” and another thing I’ve now forgotten, on my trailer.

I can’t find anything under my 28 ft. International to grease.

Am I missing something??

Your trailer has Dexter Torflex axles which have no shackles in the suspension system. I presume the advice you were given was from someone referring to the shackles in a leaf spring suspension system.

There is very little one could grease under an Airstream. Our trailer has manual stabilizing jacks which I lubricate regularly, but that is with a shot or two of WD40 or something similar.

You are not missing anything.
Nothing externally to lubricate.

However repacking wheel bearings would be something to be done that involves grease. This would entail removing the tire & wheel assy. Then removing the hub assembly. Cleaning out the old grease from the hub and bearings. Then install new grease, inspect the brakes, install new seals and re-assemble

Not sure of the interval to repack wheel bearings on a 2021 model. And the owner's manual will give you guidance on that. In fact reviewing the Air Stream owners manual would be far more productive than greasing shackles.
