That is weird.
Did you measure the actual hub face with the wheels off?
Is his axle original, and is yours original?
If yes, why are they still original....
The interior width, although sounding strange, is not that unusual. I have seen differences of 1in in the same trailer, front to back.
My
1963 Overlander was 1in narower by the front side windows than it was by the last rin before the bath in the rear.
So much for "they don't make them like they used to"....
