Anyone on this forum lifted their Bambi Sport (recent model). Looking to purchase and complete myself. etrailer sells the single axle lift kit for $105 and thinking on ordering.

We lifted our Bambi Sport this year, but ours is a 22FB. It was pretty straight forward. You will need the tools and jacks etc…

We purchased a half kit from our dealer as the kits are packaged and sold for double axles (#11 Dexter in our case)

We don’t notice any difference while towing but we do enjoy not dragging when parking in our home made parking spot in the back yard.

We had to get more levers to account for the added ~3” difference and we got a portable step that sits on the ground to close the distance to the steel access step.

Reaching the dump valves is a bit easier as well.

Lifted our 16’ that extra (+-) 3” is worth it, no difference that I have noticed towing, most benefit is extra clearance, easier sewer hookup with more elevation for setting up sewer hose and emptying. I had it done Colin Hyde said it made the trailer stand proud, I agreed.

Lifted our 2018 Bambi 16 right after purchasing. Excellent move. Back then dealers were reluctant to do the work. Ordered the lift kit for around $100 and had a local RV repair shop install for under $100. Took them less than an hour to do the work.

Fast forward to last week when I purchased a new 2022 Bambi 19. Picking it up next week. Very excited. Airstream dealer offered to do the lift for $900.

I've ordered the lift kit for $242 (+tax) from etrailer and will go back to a local RV shop to have it installed. But I had to order for a tandem axel. Bambi 19 lift kit for the #11 axel is PN K71-724-02. Anyone out there looking for a single axel kit for a #11 Dexter feel free to PM me. Not looking to make a profit. Just half the total plus shipping.

We've loved the Bambi 16. Still own it but will likely post in Airstream Classifieds next month.

i lifted our sport 22FB many years ago. no issues
plus it helps on slopped driveways so the rear does not scrap the ground

we also moved to 16" wheels, that added 1/2 "

We had our 20FB lifted at the dealership before we even brought it home; our driveway is short, challenging, made it doable. No downsides. Would do it again in a heartbeat.
