The handling is better because the new axles now properly absorb the bumps, particularly on wash board gravel roads. I have driven in Colorado's ferocious cross winds and it handle like a dream. No noticeable ill-handling from the higher center of gravity. The stabilizers still work fine in most cases. When the site is slanted or uneven, I use a few leveling blocks and the stabilizers work fine. I do not drag going into or out of my driveway. I don't have to worry about most ruts in the forest service roads. I am one happy camper!!

Could I ask you what your axles costs?

I replaced mine this past Summer.

My original axles were 45 years old with a negative angle. 2 new axles, 3” lift kit were ordered through High Sky RV Parts and picked them up in Lincolnton, NC. Installing was about 5 hours from start to finish. I used a die grinder for making the bolt holes line up with the mounting brackets. You’ll love the peace of mind with the new axles!
