Thanks, TJ!
I adjusted the Blue Ox hitch up today and took the trailer for a spin around the block. The trailer and truck are sitting nice and level. Best of all, I was able to pull out and into my driveway without changing hitches! No scraping! What a pleasure!

It is not for the faint of heart to do this install. I did four hour stints doing this work. After 5 days of crawling/sliding around under the trailer, I was ready for a couple of days rest!

Dave How did you align the new Axles? did you measure form the ball on a triangle from the centre of the ball to the centre of the axles? Or did you take it to a dealer to do final set up?

Ultraclassic,
I'll let Dave provide his answer, but this is what I did on ONE lift install.
Prior to loosening any axle bolts scribe a line from the axle UP onto the frame at each mount.
Now after getting the new spacers and axles back and just before final tightening re-align and inspect those scribe lines. A ratchet strap or other can help put them back where they were if req'd.
Gary

Ultraclassic,
As Gary did, I scribed a line on the frame for each axle. I then triangulated from the front ball mount to check those scribe lines which looked good. I aligned the axles to the scribe lines when mounting the axles. I then triangulated to the mounted axles, as a double check, and found that it was all lined up. I also check the toe alignment wheel to wheel to make sure that was square (which it was). I raced cars for 20 years so I am used to making these kinds of measurements.
Side note. Since I had the old Henschen axles on my trailer and had to machine out one mounting hole per side per axle, I was very cautious to make sure I did that on the same side of the holes in the frame on each axle. Not a major deal, but an important one.

It was age on our '03. We developed inside edge tire ware on the curbside front tire. I blamed a bent axle, but it turned out the rubber had failed allowing the tire to shift.
POI.. I was aware from the start that GVWR rating of the AS did NOT match the axle ratings JC installed. 7300lb GVWR vs 2 3500lb axles.
I babied them for 17 Seasons and JC installed 4000lb standard,(no never) axles in August.

Force of habit...I still baby them.😂

That makes sense, I am a mechanic and thought the triangular measurement from the tow ball to the centre of the axles ( bearing cap) would do it, and also would check if the arms are bent or if new made incorrectly
