'56 Safari Bearing Seals Needed
Anyone know of a source for 2 replacement seals? The info on the 2 original seals say: Trostel and #300-156-6F and it is a felt style seal. Thanks!

Airstream has not had that seal for many years.
A good replacement is National # 290944.
The O. D. is 3.002, it's 3/8 inches thick and the ID is 1.875 inches.

I have no idea.
We have not had them for years, and neither has Airstream.
You might try seal and bearing distributors, in your part of the country.
Sorry, I could not be of more help.

Look for a Redneck Trailer Supply house in your area. Look for
www.redneck-trailer.com There are locations across the US.

Your 52 year old axles are likely good. The 52 year old leaf springs may need some replacemenr.
There is a Redneck in Albany. However you might want to use the phone and not the road. That white stuff is kinda prevelant.

I also found out that the Trostel seal is on a 1964 Globetrotter I am working on. The NAPA seal is 18808 is only 1/4" in width.

I WAS WRONG. I have a B-324-16-6 Trostel bearing seal on my 1964 Globetrotter. Cross referenced it is a National Oil Seal # 22550. Best of luck to all looking for seals.

I just saw that Trostel on our parts counter.
I measured 1.50 ID x 3.00 OD x .37 high
Try Chicago Rawhide seal # 15241
Metal body with rubber lip seal. Type/Style CRSA1
Have a good day!

You're welcome.
I found your forum while searching for info on the Trostel seal.
Just thought I would add my two cents to the thread.
I may have to come back here in the future for that answer.
Have a good day!
