Portable washing machine
Has anyone seen one of these before?
http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...&path=0%3A4044
This would fit right in my wardrobe closet next to the bathroom. With minimal plumbing, it could be hooked in to gray water line and water lines. It would have to be used with sewer hookups, as it would probably fill a gray water tank with one use.
I'm going to check it out on my next trip to Wally's!

I found their website and got their hotline number for us and canada. future shop best buy and home depot were some of the retailers. hotline number is 1 877 337 3639. Question for you your 72 overlander looks great where did you find all of your aluminum trim for counters, cabinets etc. Great pictures.

Oh, oh, I know! You can put it under your awning on your front "porch"... just like at home!
Seriously...it does have some potential...but I sure like to do my laundry more than one pair of jeans at a time ~ most laundromats aren't that bad! And you can use 17 washers at once if you need to!!!

I've seen it.
It is sold at the stores. I've seen it in one Supercenter. It looks cheaply made. I'd prefer to use a laundromat and do the whole thing in one set of cycles. Two hours tops - and I hang a lot of stuff damp to lessen ironing. I use a spring rod in the shower.
Small, but still too much space needed, and then there is the water supply and drain. Of course I don't have a 34 ft tri-axle. And where do you DRY the clothing? Answer - in the shower of course. Which would you opt for if you were going to have a useless appliance - the washer or a countertop dishwasher? I'd say neither. Pots and pans and silverwear really come cleaner when done by hand. And there are plastic forks and paper plates when you're serving really messy, greasy food or when boondocking.

Was that supposed to be funny? What's wrong with the porch?
I'm kidding, Shari.
But I hope some of my friends around Putnam county TN still don't have the Internet yet.

It looks cute, might be nice for long trips but we are still just long weekends, etc. A few places offer it on line and there are a few first-hand reviews at: Haier XQBM22-C Top Load Washer Reviews. Buying guides & consumer product reviews at Epinions.com that may help your decision. (I googled Haier XQMB22) Haier is a chinese company that has been selling appliances in the USA for a few years, seem to offer value for the $$.

This thing works without a rotor. Bouncing and jostling action. Kinda like an Airstream on the road!
All you need is to buy a five gallon bucket with a lid. Put your clothes inside, add a little detergent and water, close the lid and set it in the shower when you hit the road. When you make your next stop, rinse with water (when you are hooked up of course) and hang them out to dry which you would have to do anyway.
You just saved at least $150.00! How 'bout that?
