A dehumidifier is a small AC that sucks air in over the condenser coil and then sends that air immediately over the evap coil. Thus the system has no NET heating and cooling effect on the trailer except for the energy input for the compressor and fan motors minus the work done on removing sensible heat from the air. The unit is set up to maximize the efficiency of the rankine cycle at the expense of no net change in air temperature: utterly useless as an AC or heater, but a bonus to efficiency if all you want is to blow your wet air over a surface (the evap coil) cool enough to condense much of the humidity out of it.

Not all of them work this way

^Compressor-type dehumidifier.

Desiccant dehumidifiers work differently and do put out heat. At least mine does.

I didnít find one that runs of DC, I went with the one below which I can run while boondocking. The total draw is 15.5A including the OEM PD 1K inverter. Dehumidifier and inverter is the only thing running right now. I was at 0 draw and infinite before turning on.
The dehumidifier itself is fantastic. I empty its 1/2 gallon container twice per day. It works much better if not kept in the shower, air movement is key. Iím sure it adds a little heat being a compressor type, I canít feel any heat with my hand like I can with other larger compressor dehumidifiers I have had in the past. The comfort level this dehumidifier created during our trip down the east coast into Florida was a game changer. No more clammy sheets, or condensation near ceiling vents.
