I need a door lock assembly for my 1972 international. I have the original but it's missing the guts. KInda like name your price. I think any 1970 to about 1975 will work. Thanks.

70-77 entrance door lock.

We will very shortly, post photo's in our web site of a replacement lock kit for the KT lock, that was used from 1970 to 1977.

It's price will be less than 1/3 the price of an original for the complete kit.

Should be posted within the next week.

Andy

Andy---Please let us know when this part is available. The lock mechanism for our '75 Excella 500 is shot and I expect that it will quit working any day. Thanks.

I am in the process of fabricating an entire replacement lock. I was going to do it just for myself but I have found out that the fabrication and production costs are low enough that I am going to have a shop start producing these in quantity.
Right now I am working with a former colleague of mine that owns a fab/machine shop. We are looking at a total price of approximately $150 for a machined replacement lock. Not the cast aluminum that breaks easily.
I am not looking to make a profit selling these. I am just trying to replace my own lock and pass my good fortune on to all of you.
If anyone has any interest in these, I should have my prototype lock by the end of July. It would be sooner but I am taking my colleague's "model" with me when I go out of town this coming month.

I have a 71 Soveriegn with a nearly dead lock. I have to push up on the handle just so to get it to engage. Someone has taken to it around 429 times with a screwdiver to get it open. Pocket in the door frame is chewed up as well. I would be interested if it is the same type.

This may help....

Here is a parts breakdown diagram of the KT lock. I was able to use this to get some of the parts I needed to get my lock working good.

I was able to get the replacement pieces from Oasis RV.

Good luck!

Airstreams part # 380341, tumbler and keys, is no longer available from the factory.

We have a machined replacement, that fits all the KT locks.

Exclamation

Andy---This may seem like a silly question, but how does one determine which type of lock they have on their AS? My lock looks very similar to the style you have posted and the AS is a '75 Excella 500. Do you know if the two are compatible? Thanks again.

Swanny.

What is the serial number of your trailer?

Your describing a 1978 lock.
