I think I had better clean the threads first, they are in bad shape from no maintainance. with plenty of road grime on them.

I am very impressed with the clean under body of your AS. It looks great. Any hints?
Thanks

How do they...

attach to the bottom of the trailer? Whilst decamping in a teeming rain, I neglected to crank up the rear stabilizers.
You can guess what they look like... I took parts of one off to get it out of the way, but didn't look at what held the complete assembly on. We're talking about a 1995 21' Sovreign.

I'll spring for a new one as long as it simply bolts on.

Oh, I can't run outside and look. The trailer's 1400 miles south of me right now. Won't see it again 'til Feb 1.

Thanks for any and all info.

danesh,
The rear section of the underbelly are new, that's why it looks so clean.
I had to add a cross-support for the stabilizer jacks because the frontmost rear cross member is being used by the retrofit added on grey tank.
It was quite easy to make new belly sections, and the material was oly about $ 50.00
Stephen,
My BAL stabilizers just bolted on, self tapping screws were included. I used 3 screws per jack. I used the trailer 2 weeks ago with the new jacks for the first time,a nd they worked very well. It reduced setup time by at least 15 minutes.

Too cool.
I am gonna get myself some of these for, at least, the front of my Minuet.
They may not fit on the back.

Uwe,

Your new belly pan looks great!

In post #13 above it looks like you have a white cover/??? where the shower drain trap tries to stick through the belly pan. On my trailer (also a '71 Tradewind) the trap just tries to bulge through the belly pan (kind of ugly). Did that white part come with your trailer or did you add it?

Thanks!
- Mark

Hello Mark,

Thank you for the kind words.
The shower trap cover came with the trailer. I re-used the one from the old belly pan.
You can make one from a PVC drain pipe elbow by cutting the elbow in such a way that you end up with a similar cover. Then paint it, as drain pipe is not always UV stable.
Draw a pattern on it, allowing for mounting ears to be bent out, cut with tin snips or band saw, and rivet it in place.
Good Luck!
