Question Water running down the side of the 23FBT

We have a 2023 23FBT. Right now it's parked in the driveway "sideways" - meaning it's leaning to the right side at 5 degrees - which is the slope of the driveway. Since parking it here I've noticed a small continuous rivulet of water during daylight hours. My hip surgeon says no climbing on ladders for 6 more weeks. At 5:30 this morning at was already 75 degrees. Gets to about 90 everyday with bright sun and high humidity. The A/C is on in the trailer and set at 78 for the CEO.

What's causing this? Do I need to try to fix it? Or is it condensation?

The AC is on...condensation runoff, ours vents thru a tube to the ground.

Yours may be plugged or Airstream may have eliminated the drain tube as a 'cost saving' measure

I blow out at every Spring get-ready, electric wire also werks...

What Bob said……
I will add that even with your drain tube working , you are still going to get some condensation run off from the A/C in high heat and humidity environments. You will also get just general condensation from the roof. Especially in the mornings.

Location, location

When we had it backed in so the front was lower than the back nice drips were hitting the LF tire. Since we have wheel covers I made an extension that routed past so that it dripped directly on the ground. No so right now.

My surgeon told me, with my wife present, absolutely no ladders until mid-July. And even then with the hip metal need to be careful for the rest of my life about falls. Oh well.

The AC condensation tube is in the street side wheel well on my ‘23 but it is 28ft.

Our 2012 23ft has the drain coming from inside the refrigerator compartment with a plastic strainer on the end. Your strainer might be plugged
Anyway water running down the trailer is not a crisis and you can address it once you are more able

The drain cups for the AC are rather shallow. On my trailer I found that if it was not level side to side the condensation would spill onto the roof and down the side of the trailer like in your picture. Try leveling your trailer and see if it stops.

Most likely your AC drain lime is plugged. Phil Enoch the Airstream door lock guy has a cable that you just run up the line from the wheel well. Just google him to get his info.

My guess as well.

You can blow air up the drain tube from outside with a small compressor. You can push 1/8" tubing up the inside of the drain from the ground to see if it is clear.

Unless someone is staying in the trailer you could turn the AC off.

Normal

Our 30 does this even with the drain tubes working. High humidity use will cause it and morning dew run off. I feel for you get better Im facing knee replacement in August getting old is not for Sissies!

Your A/C condensate drain tube is blocked.. We keep a long wire (a hanger that we straightened out) to clear the tube when Mud Dobber wasps decide they want to nest.

I could be mistaken, but what you are describing sounds like the drain tube running from the drip tray under the cooling fins in the refrigerator. At least that’s what the tube you describe is for in my trailer.

Tube

It's not blocked but it's on the upside. So the water path of least resistance is downhill. Problem solved.

Yep... a common experience. Water down the side is no big deal.

Condensate From Roof

I get the same thing on my Classic. It is not the condensate drains. It is condensate on the roof from AC cooling ducts that are close to the roof next to the AC units.
