Using a window AC to keep 23FB cool and low humidity when not in use
For our 2023 23FBT we've been using the Dometic A/C unit which draws 17 amps on the 30 amp RV circuit. I have a spare window A/C that I loan out when neighbors here in SW FL have an A/C outage that only draws 6 amps. The storm in my brain is to build a platform for it to sit on and then push cool air into one window and then out thru another. I'd build ducting for the input windows and build rain hoods for windows and the unit.
Has anyone had success trying this? Or failure? Or?

Englewoodfl,
Security would be my first concern. Make sure there is nothing to tempt intruders inside, or even the appearance.
Second, what is the capacity of the window unit compared to the rooftop unit? If it runs three times as much, you lose the energy cost savings.

My primary motivation is to reduce the run hours on the Dometic unit. Worried that it will fail after the warranty is over - and I know they are pricey to replace.
