Time for a new A/C

I have a 66 17' caravel that the A/C shot craps. I was looking at a low profile Coleman Mach 8 13,500btu. Any thoughts on the Coleman's these days and what installation should cost me?

The Coleman seems to be highly rated on Amazon, and that's usually a trustworthy way to determine its quality, if there are lots of ratings. The Coleman AC has hundreds of ratings, so paid reviews shouldn't affect the overall rating there.

As for installation, you'll probably pay between 650 and 1000. IF the dealer doesn't mark up the AC itself significantly it'll be between 1400 and 2000. You can install this yourself. When our old AC died on the 66 Safari, I replaced it myself with a Carrier AirV, sadly no longer sold. It took me a whole weekend to do this. You'll need a ladder and maybe a 6 foot scaffolding.

Thumbs up A/c

Thanks for the feedback. I elected to have the dealer do the install. Not that I probably could not do it but if I have problems with it or leaks in the roof I can always take it back to him.
