"This Document Must Remain Attached..."

So, the good news is that we were the first to use the furnace in our 2010 FC20FB. The bad news, is that the documents that states "This Document Must Remain Attached to This Appliance At All Times" was stuffed in the exhaust vent (you know, where the really hot air comes out), and it didn't burn, but man, it smoked. I'd like to take it off. I know it's not a mattress tag, but does anyone really leave that attached? Seems stupid. Almost as stupid as an adult having to ask this question in the first place.

Mattress, pillow and furniture tags like that are meant to be left on the item until purchased. They are there for the purchaser and can be removed after the sale. I'm sure the furnace tag is similar but it wasn't smart to put it in the exhaust tube. If it's not destroyed I would keep it with other AS documents. If it is destroyed I'd toss it and clean out any residue from the pipe, maybe blow it out with compressed air. Check with the manufacturer for a replacement.
