Suburban NT-30 MA Problems

I have a Suburban Nt-30Ma in my 79 Excella. The furnace works sometimes. I could see the spark at the electrode when it does work, but it would only work at random times. I then used a wire brush to clean the electrode and put some Deoxit on it. Now there is no spark at all, but when I take the electrode out, it will spark when in contact with a metal surface. I'm not sure if I need a new electrode, (which I have been told is no longer made) or what my next steps are. I'm in Utah living full time in my Airstream and am nervous that with the cold weather approaching I will be breaking pipes. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Did you ever figure this out? sounds exactly what I struggled with all last season.
