Sail switch part number search

Sail switch part number

We have a Dometic DF series furnace on our 2023 25' international - the part sheet from the dealership, tho, says it is an Atwood furnace model afmd30. How do I find the correct sail switch for the unit? We want to carry a replacement and it is not listed in the parts manual from AS

This is the one I purchased from Amazon for a spare should I need it. It can be used on an Atwood AFMD30 furnace.

With our 2023 25' Globetrotter has a Dometic DMFD30141 which I would assume is the same heater, I bought these* which are cheaper (not sure if as good) and fit.

*I have an obsession trying to fix our furnace and this didn't fix it. I've tried just about everything else. We have a date in JC in March, so I'll find out what the deal is.

Thank you! How did you find the correct part? It seems that I have many numbers that do not cross reference1

Thank you. Looks like the same device, just without the additional bracket. How did you find the number to fit? Our furnace number doesn't match anything I've found - and the serial number of the furnace doesn't correspond to what is listed.
We had ours at JC last year with a excellent experience

Loyce, if you look up the switch on Amazon they have a list of models the switch fits (see below screenshots). The second screenshot lists different switches depending on your model.

Here’s a link to the switch on Amazon.

I purchased the same one as Hans627 and swapped our 5 year old Globetrotter’s switch as a preventive measure and will keep the original as a spare since it was working before I replaced it.

Hope that helps you find the correct replacement.

You might also want to have a spare limit switch. Both times my heaters, one in the Airstream and the other in an SOB, went out it was due to a bad limit switch.

It seems that often it’s not the sail switch per se, but spider webs or mud daubers that limit air flow.

If one can believe the parts list that came with our 2023 25’ fbq, part #33063

Oops, ours is a DFMD

Oops again, that part number has been replaced by the 33082

Take The Old One In For Comparison

My experience is that the parts list in the furnace Owners Manual is unreliable.

Take the old one or at least a photo and some measurements.
