replacement furnace for a '77 argosy minuet?
I need to replace my furnace, and am unsure what a suitable replacement would be. (local shop found mine to have a cracked combustion chamber). The minuet (a.k.a. "the Pod") has pretty minimal ductwork - I was wondering if I even needed to put a ducted furnace back in. Considering it never ran correctly, I'd been running it without the front cover for years as the pilot light went out if the cover was on. (now I find that scary. yeesh)
What he's been finding is in the $650 price range, which seems high for such a small camper. He's willing to install anything I get, but of course it would make sense to find something that can use the same size vents, and fits in the same area...
I spend about 3 to 4 months a year in the Pod, usually in AZ and TX, nothing too arctic...
Searching through prior posts for this gives so many results, either I've lost my search mojo, or it's not there...
Any suggestions?
