Quick Question About Water Heater

When I am at a RV park with full hook-up, does the hot-water tank automatically switch from propane heating to electric heating?

I installed a new water heater this summer in our '83 Sovereign. It came with two switches. One for propane and one for the 120 volt heating element. You can use them together for quick recovery/warm up, or either separately but there is no automatic switch over from propane to electric.
