Penguin A/C Replacement

I am having to replace the Dometic Penguin A/C unit on my 1998 Excella...I am installing a new Dometic Penguin II with Heat Pump..I am also replacing my old 4 button thermostat with the Dometic CCC2 thermostat..My question is will I have to replace the old thermostat wire with a new wire and if so what kind...6,8 or 12 wire..

I am looking to do the same thing. Did you find any good information? In fact I am looking at replacing all the roof components and resealing it completely, everyting up there looks pretty worn out.

You probably already figured this out, but for the next person who comes up with this question- It's a 4 wire that you need for the newer ccc2.


And if a person is looking to replace an ac on a 'Quietstream' ducted trailer please check this thread out. You want to make sure you seal things up in addition to just replacing an ac.
