Original Bay Breeze AC help

Don't laugh but I dropped the interior shroud off the AC unit not knowing the coils and Freon lines where connected. Yep, the Freon line broke off clean at the rear coil. That was a trip. As you can see at the pictures, the drip pan was shot and has to be fabricated.
My question is, do I fix it $$$ or put new unit in. If your answer is new, what kind would you replace with and why? Keep in mind, my girl is a 1969 31 foot Sovereign.

New for sure. The cost to fix it, even if you could find an evaporator coil will be way too much to justify. Also remember the other half of the system is outside and has been exposed to the elements for years. They all leaked too as witnessed by all the rust in your pics. New units require a 14x14 hole for mounting but if done correctly you won't have leaks to worry about.

My old Armstrong is still working but I am looking for the best choice when it dies. I thought Dometics were good but recent post here on the forums seem to indicate that quality has slipped. I'll enjoy the responses.

The Bat Breeze may have been the best available a few years back but I am sure the efficiency of the unit has degraded quite a lot as to put it below anything you could replace it with.
