Old? Duo Therm AC on 73 - need ideas

This is the rooftop AC unit on our ‘73 Argosy. The fan works but the air isn’t cold. It also has a heating unit which we haven’t tried yet. The rooftop equipment is pretty rusted and needs cleaning. The thermostat didn’t work and is pulled out now anyway. We don’t know if this is original or fixable or worth fixing. Any suggestions where to start?

Not really worth fixing. If your refrigerant has been lost (sounds like it), then its time for a new unit as there is no way to replace it in your type of A/C.
