NT-22A Fan Noise

I have a 69 Safari with an NT-22A. The fan motor has gotten very noisy and I've replaced the nose bearing (had a friend who is a machinist make me one) and it still squeals, although it is intermittent. I'd like to find a replacement motor but can't find parts. I see from threads that many people have replaced these furnaces due to the recall issue, and the fact that they are super old at this point. Any chance someone would sell me the fan motor from their old unit?

I use a CO monitor and I've inspected the crossover hose (it's fine, looks like it was probably replaced) and the heat exchanger still looks to be in good shape (miraculously), so I'd like to avoid replacement if possible.

Thanks!
David

I have a N16 furnace down in my basement that I removed from my 71 21' Globetrotter. I was planning on reusing it but have now replaced it. I brought a borescope home from work and looked at the internals of the burner chamber and what I saw there convinced me to replace the entire unit. It was severely rusted with small pinholes that were not visible from the outside, the wiring insulation was non existent in places. The blower motor bearing (bushing) were also worn out and squealed when I put power to it.

You could try to rebuild it but it was not worth the safety hazard to me so I just replaced it with a modern NT20 unit.

Good deal! We Spring and Summer in Suquamish; we'll have to get together; Rob at the store is a good friend of mine.
