New Dometic Heatpump needs help!
I purchased a 15k heat pump from Dometic about 1 year ago. 2 weeks ago we had a big storm and the day after I turned the AC on. Water began to pour out on the floor of my 1994 34' excella.
I cleaned the water out of the bottom, but now only the fan will work if I turn it on directly. I have a thermostat and it comes on fine, in Auto though nothing happens. I checked power 120v, it is fine. The cables are good, no water.
Please Help!!!!!! I live in Texas the heat will be here soon!!!

I would take it to a Dometic authorized service center. I don't know how the warrantee works. I don't know if it is 2 yr parts or 2 yr parts and labor. If it is a parts warrantee you are pretty much screwed because you will have to pay someone to fix it even if the parts are free.

I had a similar problem with my old Penguin which would occur when the drain clogged up and the condensate water would build up high enough that the control circuit board was partially immersed. I could usually get it going again by mopping up all of the water with paper towels and drying the circuit board off, though one time it damaged the control board and I had to buy a new one on Ebay. You may still have water inside your unit somewhere which is immersing the control board.

I checked the drain, it is clear. I found the phone jack going to the comfort module had some water in it. I assume this came in during the storm. I removed the water and cleaned it up.
The ac still doesn't work but the heat pump and fan by itself do. I checked the control board, it has 12v and 120v. I also checked the cable from the comfort module, but cannot find which pin is the ac signal. They read left to right from top unit 12v/ 0v / .4v / 12v. When the ac is switched on (on the comfort control module)
I believe something in the control board is broken because of the water. I will probably order a new board as it is cheaper than going to the dealer.
Thanks for the help

I had the same problem in my 2010, ran a cable through the drain and it fixed it self.

That's probably what I would too, having been down that road before. Make sure that all of the electrical control components are dry now and that may take some disassembly to be sure. If the heat pump works but the ac doesn't then that indicates some sort or problem with the refrigerant flow reversing valve or it's controlling components.

Do the AC only versions have the same control board?

There's a hundred different versions and you should only use the exact p/n which is called out in your particular model unit.

Why would an AC need anything other than a thermostat to turn the compressor on and off? A card is just one more thing to fail.

The control board is for the comfort control system aka a thermostat on the wall instead on in the unit for better control. And yes, the comfort control boards are the same as far as I know they only have one for builtins or retros. About 110$
