Need some help

I have a 2018 33 classic that a dealer replaced two AC's. Said it was leaking freon. Now they can't get them to work with firefly system. I need to know the following

- The dealer says only one AC in the classic is able to use the heat pump. This does not make any sense.

- Since I have the 1.7 GUI of the firefly they are saying this system needs to be update to the lasted firefly system. Does anyone have any experience regarding this issue?

Thanks

Most recent update is 3.8 on our 2018.
Both our heat pumps work when we are on 50a shore power.

Did it come with 3.8 or did you upgrade it to that.

Hi

If they put in the correct units, then both A/C's should run as heat pumps. If they replaced one of the originals with an "A/C only" model then you lost the heat pump function.

Upgrading the firmware should be a fairly trivial process. No different than doing an update on your phone. One would guess that if you are on 1.x and the rest of the world has moved to 3.x (or past that), you most certainly need an update. It is possible that multiple parts of the system need updates. Still trivial, but time consuming.

So the new units, penguin II will not work with the 1.7 gui of firefly. 5K to update the software. Ridiculous I agree. So I am asking Jackson to cover it. Good luck with that, we will see.

If that does not work will have someone other than AS install a separate thermostat. Personally I am done with any AS dealers, they are lame
