Looking for options replacing old Thermostat
Hello: Apologies if my question has been asked before (did a search and did not find anything)
We have a 1996 Excella with a Duo-Therm A/C & heatpump & furnance. I assume our Thermostat is original as it looks old and is not responding all the time when I am pushing the up and down button to increase/decrease temp.
I am not finding an exact replacement thermostat online? Are they available? If not what are my options to replace my existing thermostat with another?
Photo attached of current thermostat.
Thanks
Phil

Just about any replacement thermostat will work. Disconnect the 2 thermostat wires and cross them. If the furnace is working it should start. The furnace circuit board is often a problem.

Check out Micro-Air as they have some nice but pricy options to replace the older units.

The Microair thermostat is definitely worth investigating. We installed ours two years ago and am very happy with it.

Thanks for all the replies. It appears Microair is the way to go.
Unfortunately...my replacement is sold out or not available @ this time. I will try to contact them to see if this is a temporary thing or if they no longer sell my suggested replacement. They also indicate that if I do replace my thermostat with the replacement it requires a new A/C control board? Which Microair does not sell. Any idea if where I can get the Control board?
Thanks again
Phil

I have a 97 Airstream and had trouble with this as well. Check on Ebay because there are usually several who have rebuilt tstats for sale. Sometimes they want your old unit as a swap because they can be fixed and updated.
