Is there a filter in the ac unit ?????

I have an older Excella. Since I am not the first owner I will make the assumption ( we all know where this can get us) that the AC is original to the 1985 model. It works fine and appears to be all original. Can anyone tell me where to find the filter in the AC unit ???? That is, again assuming, if there is one to be found. Are they of a washable or replaceable type ??????

In ours there are filters that you will find by taking down the inner shrowd. Certainly no hepa type though, they are pretty porous.

Your 1985 Should have a Coleman Delta TX a/c unit. The filter, really a dust-catcher, is located at the bottom of the ceiling assembly, and is normally washable.

Thanks for the information. This will be my up and coming job for the weekend. If the filter is missing or cannot be re-used I will try to fabricate a replacement.

See Y'all on the road sometime. Let's get the AS's out of storage and on the road. We just got back from a 6 wk trip to Fla. and didn't see many at all. A couple along the road southbound and maybe 3 while down there and none on the way north.

Those filters are just cut from a filter material into the shape to fit. Usually green in color originally. You might be able to buy the stuff in a sheet and cut it down to fit if you need to.
