Your Safari should have the factory air conditioner prep package even if it didn't come from the factory with air conditioning. Two things that you can check for indicators are for the presence of the condesate drain (look at the bellypan near the streetside axle . . . you can usually find the drain tube sticking down below the bellypan in that area), and check your circuit breaker box for the existence of an unused circuit breaker (present for the future installation of an air conditioner). You can also contact Airstream Customer Support with the information contained in this
link.
My 1978 Minuet had never had an air conditioner when I purchased it in 2003, but utilizing the measurment instructions provided by Airstream, my installer was able to immediately locate both the power cable and condesate drain tube without problem.
Good luck with your project!
