Heater Duct Cleaning

Has anyone cleaned the furnace supply ducting throughout the coach? Ours is pretty dusty smelling (little used over the past 24 years), and thought I'd ask about methods and perceived success.

I ran the shop vac in front of grills as the ducts were bumped to loosen up the dust.

Maybe take the grills off and run the vac hose up in there?

We had that problem with our SOB and went to airconditioning / heating shop and they sold us a product to spray into ducts that kiled old mildew and left it smelling good.

The EVIL side of me says get some End-Dust, a rope and a small cat - sorry, I'm twisted!

The GOOD side of me says that many mail-order houses sell dryer-vent brushes on long flexible shafts that could do double duty here very nicely.
We haven't had to do this yet as our TT is only three years old and we don't use the furnace very much.

We have a mini-shop-vac that has a smaller diameter hose that could work really well too.

The dryer vent hose brush was one I was considering. The pro-level duct cleaning equp't I've looked at had that type (brush) and another that was of cloth. I've considered removing them entirely and cleaning them with brush and soapy water; am hoping that others may have relevant experience.
