Heater blowing cold air

We have a 2018 airstream interstate. The propane tank says it’s 92% full but when we try to turn on the furnace it blows cold air.
We have the propane switch “on”.
It also seems propane is not working generally because the stove won’t light.

Are you sure your valve is open (indicator on the regulator shows green)? If so, have you purged all of the air out of the lines? Sometimes this can take a few minutes.

Don’t know about the new models, but our furnace also has a separate attached valve that must be opened for the furnace to operate.

Occurred to me while cleaning up after the horses this morning - is there actually anything coming out of the jets when you turn on the range burner? If not, and the tank valve is on, you may have tripped the anti-discharge valve when you opened up the tank valve. Try closing the valve, waiting a few seconds, and then open the valve slowly (so the tank doesn't think it's leaking). Then go turn on the range burner and see if anything is coming out. If so, try lighting the burner - again, it may take a couple of minutes to purge air out of the line. Once the burner lights and runs steadily, try the furnace.

Sounds like the problem and likely an easy fix.

The regulator between the LP tanks might need replacing. The sail switch in the furnace might need replacing if none of the other suggestions solve your problems

Cold Air

Trouble shooting furnace operation, or lack of operation, began with your observation that your stove burners failed to light. So, we’re zeroing in on LPG issues.

Forget “gages” and “readings.” Turn both LPG bottles off, tight off. Detach both bottles. Lift each bottle. Their weights will tell you POSITIVELY how full (or empty) they are. Reattach your partially full tanks. Open both valves. Return to your stove top. Try one burner after the other. Three failures, now try switching your refrigerator from 120AC to Gas. (This might take a couple go-rounds.)

Now you’re down to “No LPG Flow from bottles to appliances,” the toughest part of the equation, and above my pay grade.

And while off turn them up-side-down & roll 'em around, do the hoochie coochie and re-install, the OPD may be stuck.

Several times, I have forgotten to depress the valve on the stove while trying to ignite a burner on my Airstream Atlas. Needless to say, it won't ignite. This is probably not your problem but if it is, just try pushing in the valve after you have set it to ignite (flame icon). BE VERY CAREFUL not to allow a lot of propane to leak into the cabin while tryig to light it. You might cause an explosion. After trying to ignite the burner for 2-3 seconds wait 3-5 minutes before trying again. Good luck, Krikati

If your furnace, water heater or gas fridge isn't working always light a stove burner for about a minute. That eliminates any propane issue except for a secondary gas valve for that appliance.

PLEASE PAY ATTENTION INTERSTATE IS MOTOR HOME.
This means not a trailer with removable propane tanks.

Possibly the solenoid to open the permanently mounted tank is not working.

Hi...the furnace only operates on 30-amp service, so if you're plugged into lesser amperage, furnace will not ignite. I have a 2020 Atlas.
