Fur In The Sail Switch!

Howdy,

You may have followed my travails with my furnace in my 2019 Sport 22FB.

AS has spec'd a new board and sent me one but I have not been "home" to get it.

Meanwhile I have had better luck till today when it all went bad. But being an "expert" at taking the board off and cleaning contacts I noticed a big clump of fur coming out of the sail switch housing! Getting it out I found enough to say make a good Q-tip! I cleaned it off and reinstalled and now working.

It was pretty dusty fur and could have been my dogs or some other critter taken up residence although no evidence of such so far!

Conceding it was probably my dogs; how does one keep this switch clean? I'm pretty clean in the AS and sweep it out at least once daily...

Anyway... Another clue if others are having an issue. On my furnace the sail switch is behind the board and the only other device with wires to it. One small phillips removes it for cleaning.

Thanks!

That's what I expected but no evidence of such.

Fan was spinning freely!

Re: Quartzsite. Lots of boon docking options. Places like Desert Gardens will have wound down most of the gem show by then but may keep "Park" open if you want cheap full hook ups.

While Blythe is only 20 miles away I'd suggest stocking up your favorite goodies as I guarantee you won't find them in Quartzsite!

The fun stuff is nearby! Any day trip up any dirt road will be fun!

We had problems with an intermittently working sail switch. It turned out to be fuzz from a new throw rug in front of the air intake located under the microwave and oven in our FC 30. Installed screen material in front of the air intake. So far, working.
