I had the problem again and I took it to an RV repair shop. They worked on it above the air vent and finally reconnected to another 12 v source and I have not had any more problems.

No power to thermostat.
As some have already suggested check cable coming to the thermostat. In my case there were two contacts broken on the thermostat itself so I had to replace my thermostat.
Good luck.

Domestic Thermostat Won’t Turn On

Problem solved by removing cover (had to push in indented but underneath on bottom), then unplugging cord(connector is like an Ethernet or old fashioned phone connector cord) then plugging it back in again. Yay!

Could you clarify what "The power connection on the battery for the thermostat was loose." refers to? Isn't the thermostat fed from the AC control board as explained by BayouBiker, which is fed from a 12v fuse protected circuit?
