Dometic Air-conditioner Motor Mount Screw
My 2021 Caravel 20FB Dometic AC unit was making a loud racket. Repair guy found a motor mount screw had fallen out causing the fan to be out of balance. The screw doesn’t have a regular nut fastener. It’s held in place by a rubber bushing/nut. See attached photo. Anyone encounter a similar issue? I’m concerned the screw will come loose and fall out again.

I ran into that same problem during our summer trip. I have not decided if that's something I should check periodically like I do with other screws in the trailer, or just wait to see if the problem happens again. It didn't seem like the out of balance condition was likely to damage anything. But the noise was really annoying.

Probably done that way to reduce mechanical noise intrusion and vibration transfer.....common technique to isolate a vibrating mechanism. Most likely the rubber receiver was not installed correctly, it was defective/malformed, or has tolerance issues for the screw being used.
Maybe call Dometic and ask them what their diagnostic would be and if they could send you a replacement rubber receiver and mating screw? The dealer or JC will just say replace the whole thing....which doesn't jive for something that you can clearly replace as you're already at the repair point location.

I just had to do the same repair. I’ll be looking to get some locknuts to prevent it from happening again. Poor design

It seems a well worn topic--you aren't alone. Search the Forums for "Dometic AC fan" and you should see several of hits.

rubber mounting kit
I'm trying to figure out the part number/model number of this AC... I'm assuming we have the same AC but I can't find out what the model number is the 13K and 15K dometic AC's are. I don't have that info in my manual bag.
I'm also want to purchase new rubber mounts for these AC's.
Has anybody replaced them?

Motor Mount Screws Missing
Both of my motor mount screws on My 2023 International 23 FBT 13500 Dometic Penguin 2 are conditioner had fallen out. I reinstalled them but was wondering if there are any more robust fixes.
The other challenge is that 3 or the 4 shroud screws holes are partially stripped. Any one else have this problem? Fixes?

Domestic Shroud Fix
Found these from Dometic online. My problem is Dometic really sticks it to you when you live in Canada - cheapest I can find for these two parts is $120 US.

You can go to any auto store show them the photo of the clips and they will have them…. Or go on Amazon that’s your best bet

I just search Amazon and have these clips referred as fender clips … just search “shroud clip”
